Andy's Back Friday
Andy Reid's leave of absence will end this Friday, March 23, 2007, according to the Philadelphia Eagles. In addition to returning to the NovaCare center, it looks like the media will get to speak to him at 11 a.m. I'm sure he'll face a few questions regarding his family situation.
However, more to the point, the media is going to press Reid on the recent acquisitions and losses in free agency. I'm sure we'll hear Andy's thoughts on who the lost, who they signed and how that will all affect the team for the 2007 season, for which off-season conditioning started today.
Reid took a leave of absence 5 weeks ago to deal with the legal issues that both of his sons, Britt and Garret found themselves in. Britt Reid, faces a felony charge of carrying a firearm without a license and misdemeanor drug charges. Garrett Reid, Britt's older brother, faces charges he injured a woman in a traffic accident while under the influence of heroin.
Even though Reid wasn't in the office every day, he was always available by phone to Joe Banner and Tom Heckert to deal with major issues, especially those surrounding all of the Eagles free agency acquisition deals and signings.
